Presidential Campaign: Indiana State Director (2016)

  • Led the Trump/Pence statewide campaign through both the primary and general elections.

  • Traveled across Indiana, working with Republican leaders and voters for the campaign.

  • Guided the ground game, strategic messaging and endorsement initiatives.

  • Established and managed four offices across the state, with 12 staff members and hundreds of volunteers.

 

Presidential Appointment: Chief of Staff in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Nuclear Energy

  • Diligently worked to help the United States become energy independent.

  • Oversaw a $1.4 billion budget and 175 employees.

  • Acted as the lead political liaison between the Office of Nuclear Energy, the Secretary of Energy and the White House.

  • Served as the U.S. representative for two global energy organizations.

Leading the Country

Under Suzie's leadership, Indiana became the first state in the nation to declare victory for our 45th President in November 2016.

Global Trailblazer

Suzie became the first female chair of the International Framework for Nuclear Energy Cooperation, a 65-country organization dedicated to nuclear energy issues.

Service To Our Country

Advisor to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency

Vienna, Austria (September 2020 to June 2021)

  • Provide advice and counsel on program development and management pertaining to pandemic prevention, cancer applications, climate change and clean energy.

  • Developed IAEA Human Development Applications of Nuclear Technology Programme in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development GOals.

  • Responsible for outreach and liaison between IAEA and C-Level corporate leaders.

  • Managed all aspects of corporate communications, government affairs, investor relations and market research.

  • Spearheaded a first-of-a-kind statewide advocacy and advertising campaign through the Indiana Coal Council, which resulted in measurable increases in awareness and positive attitudes.
